Back in 2018, HOMEcap<\/a> the first home-compostable coffee capsule revolutionised the market.<\/strong> The innovative capsule, made from home-compostable bioplastic and sunflower seed hulls, impressed with its sustainable concept. However, rumours of an unpleasant odour from the sunflower seed hulls clouded the capsule's success.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We responded to this feedback by investing in the new development of the HOMEcap<\/a> . The result is a GC green alternative that works completely without sunflower seed hulls. At the same time, this material has the best barrier properties for home compostable coffee capsules currently available on the market.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What would a capsule be without a good seal? We have already launched an excellent sealing film for coffee capsules, which is also popular with our competitors. Together with the capsule, the sealing film and the coffee it contains, the capsules are fully certified by T\u00dcV Austria.<\/p>

But it can be even better, so the sealing film has also been studied and improved. The new film has optimised brewing times, allowing even more flavour to be extracted from the coffee. Certification is still pending, but will soon be underway, so the best home-compostable coffee capsule will soon meet an even better sealing film.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Contrary to popular belief, the HOMEcap<\/a> does not affect the taste or smell of the coffee in any way. The materials used are completely neutral in taste and free from unwanted odours. This has been confirmed by sensory tests carried out by ISEGA Forschungs- und Untersuchungsgesellschaft mbH.<\/a> Anyone who can still smell sunflowers has probably never really smelt them.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
