But this common misunderstanding makes many people doubt bioplastics, which is completely unfair. This happens because of tiny organisms called microorganisms, such as bacteria or fungi. But it's important to remember that degradation only happens when the right conditions are in place.<\/p><h4 data-start=\"1191\" data-end=\"1266\">These conditions are necessary for biodegradability:<\/h4><ul data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1388\"><li data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1300\"><p data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1300\">High temperatures<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1326\"><p data-start=\"1303\" data-end=\"1326\">Hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1347\"><p data-start=\"1329\" data-end=\"1347\">oxygen supply<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1348\" data-end=\"1388\"><p data-start=\"1350\" data-end=\"1388\">Microorganisms in sufficient quantities<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1728\">You won't find this in your home, but it is common in places where compost is made, or in the soil if it's there for a long time. This means that a biodegradable plant pot will stay stable for a long time under normal use \u2013 often even for years.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-226a737 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"226a737\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Real-life proof: three years, still standing<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e90ae1e e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"e90ae1e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6cc534b elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget-tablet__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6cc534b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>About three years ago, we planted a houseplant in a biodegradable plant pot made from our GC green material, which consists of bio-PBS and natural fillers such as sunflower seed shells. <strong data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"2038\">The pot has not broken into pieces.<\/strong><br data-start=\"2038\" data-end=\"2041\" \/>The plant's pot only looks different where its roots have grown strongly. This is not a disadvantage; it shows that the material works with the plant and adapts to its needs.\u00a0<\/p><p>The NATURALpot sits with the plant in a planter and is exposed to regular watering and the soil of the plant. This means that some of the conditions for decomposition are already in place, but it still takes a while for the pot to completely decompose. The roots grow through the holes in the bottom of the pot. When you repot the plant, it's almost guaranteed that the roots will get damaged, especially if it's in a PP pot. After three years, the plant would be stuck in a PP pot and would have to be carefully removed. Nature takes over.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-92fa7a2 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget-tablet__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"92fa7a2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"2447\" data-end=\"2561\">If the pot gets damaged at any point, or if the plant is repotted, there are two ways to dispose of it in a way that doesn't cause harm to the environment:<\/p><ol data-start=\"2563\" data-end=\"3011\"><li data-start=\"2563\" data-end=\"2744\"><p data-start=\"2566\" data-end=\"2744\">Soil decomposition \u2013 if the conditions are right (for example, in a garden compost or an industrial facility), the pot can completely decompose and turn into valuable humus. When repotting, just put the plant in a bigger pot.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2745\" data-end=\"3011\"><p data-start=\"2748\" data-end=\"3011\">Residual waste \u2013 no problem. This is because most of the waste in residual waste is recycled through heat. This misunderstanding stops us from using the possibilities offered by these new materials. But more and more people will want to buy sustainable products in the next few years.
