Diversity, commitment and passion: our power women at Golden Compound
On 8 March, we celebrate International Women's Day – a day to recognise the achievements of women in business, science and society. Here at Golden Compound, we're super proud of our team - they're all strong and unique individuals. Today, we want to shine the spotlight on four of our amazing women who make our company better with their knowledge, passion and commitment.
Diversity as strength - four women, four personalities
Everyone brings their own professional expertise and personal style to the table, and that's what makes Golden Compound great. In a time when diversity is becoming more and more important, our team shows that different perspectives and backgrounds are not only valuable, but essential for the success of a company. So, let's get to know our four awesome women:
Malin Peschken - The friendly and committed organisation expert
Malin is the heart and soul of our admin and accounting department. She's a real people person, and she makes sure everything runs smoothly and that no one loses track of things. She's a real team player and a valuable member of the group.
Malin is a Damme native and she's a real live wire! She's crazy about carnival and you'll always see her smiling and raring to go. She's also a busy bee outside of work, whether she's on the tennis court or spending time with her horses, she's got a knack for making the most of her free time.

Stephanie Westendorf - The calm but determined sales strategist
Stephanie is our star when it comes to organising internal sales and supply chain management. She keeps track of supply chains, customer orders and processes, and she always does a great job of it. She's the perfect mix of reliable and friendly, which makes her a huge asset to our team and our customers.
When she's not working, she loves being out and about with her dog, Kurt. The young dog still needs a lot of training and attention, but she's a smart cookie and she's on the right track.

Rita Shaqlawi - The inquisitive innovator in R&D and sustainability
Rita's been a real driving force behind a lot of our recent innovations. She's been living in Germany for 13 years, after moving from Iraq. She did her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in materials science and now she's totally dedicated to researching sustainable plastics. She's always keen to learn more and wants to use her knowledge to help shape the future of materials.
Rita's got a great energy about her, and it's infectious. Anyone who works with her soon gets caught up in her enthusiasm for research and development. She's a great example of innovation, sustainability and joie de vivre all rolled into one.

Josephine Donner - The creative strategist between marketing and sales
Josephine's a perfect example of how people who switch careers can really benefit any industry. She used to be in the social sciences, but now she's totally immersed herself in the world of plastics and biomaterials. She's a real all-rounder when it comes to marketing and sales, because she's got this analytical thinking and creativity that's just amazing.
As well as being super passionate about her job and always looking for new challenges, she's also a keen sportswoman. She loves volleyball and is interested in political issues, which shows how versatile our team members are.

Why diversity strengthens our company
Each of these women has her own perspective, strengths and unique character, and they all contribute to the success of our company. It's this diversity that makes Golden Compound a success. We all have different backgrounds, experiences and ways of thinking, and this means we can come up with innovative solutions to problems.
We're proud to say we've created a workplace where everyone can thrive. For us, International Women's Day isn't just a one-off celebration – it's a daily reminder to us all of how vital it is to promote diversity and live by the principles of equality.
Women's power at Golden Compound
Our four power women are just one example of the strong personalities that make up Golden Compound. We really value their commitment, passion and individuality. Today, we want to honour them, and all the women out there who are making the world a better place every day with their work, their knowledge and their commitment.
We say: Thank you, Malin, Stephanie, Rita and Josephine - and to all the women who enrich our society with their drive and determination!
