As 2024 draws to a close, we at Golden Compound can look back on a truly eventful year full of innovations, milestones and exciting encounters. In this article, we would like to give you an insight into our highlights and share the most important developments that have shaped our year.
Moving to Holdorf
2024 also marks a big step for our company: the move to Holdorf. This move not only gives us room for further growth, but also allows us to benefit from optimal logistical connections. Two offices have become one, and we have also added a large warehouse to enable us to respond quickly to our customers' needs. This move was an investment in our future and demonstrates our aim to continue to work innovatively and efficiently.
Podcast appearance at the Mehrweg Heroes
We are particularly proud of our participation in the Reusable Heroes podcast. The podcast is available on both Spotify and YouTube. In an exciting episode, our employee Josephine Donner was able to share our expertise in sustainable biomaterials and explain how reusable and biomaterials can shape the future of the packaging industry. It was a great opportunity to share our vision with a wide audience. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!
New splendour: Our revamped website
Another highlight was the launch of our new website. We have modernised it with clearer navigation and more detailed information about our products and solutions. This allows our customers and partners to find what they are looking for more quickly. The new website demonstrates our commitment to innovation and sustainability. It is also a further step in bringing our values to life digitally. Of course, we are not perfect. If you find any errors or oddities, please contact us so that we can address them directly.
New tool for the 12 pot
Not only do we develop innovative solutions, we also put them into practice. Our new mould for the 12-cavity plant pot is a good example. It allows us to further optimise our production capacity and product quality. And the upgrade helps us to respond even more efficiently to the growing demand for sustainable plant pots. This is an area that is becoming increasingly important for many horticultural companies.

New developments: GC pro based on recyclate
Sustainability is not just a trend for us, it is a matter close to our heart. We are very proud to introduce the new GC pro line of recycled materials in 2024. These bio-based materials combine recycled polypropylene (PP) with our proven sunflower seed hulls. The result is high quality materials with an improved environmental footprint that are both functional and visually appealing. With this innovation, we aim to help the plastics industry reduce the use of fossil fuels. At the same time, we offer high-performance alternatives.
10th anniversary of the Golden Compound - a reason to celebrate
In October 2024, the time had finally come: we celebrated our 10th anniversary! Since our founding in 2014, we have grown from a small start-up to an established supplier of sustainable biomaterials. This milestone was an opportunity to pause for a moment and thank all those who have accompanied us on this journey - our customers, partners and, of course, our amazing team.
Successful trade fair appearances: FAKUMA and Sustainable Industry Week
Personal dialogue with industry experts and customers is invaluable to us. At FAKUMA and the Sustainable Industry Week we were not only able to present our products, but also hold exciting discussions and make valuable contacts. In particular, the great response to our bio-based and biodegradable material solutions has motivated us to continue on our innovative path.
Season's greetings and winter break
Finally, we would like to thank all our customers, partners and supporters for a successful 2024. The entire Golden Compound team wishes you and your families a Merry Christmas, relaxing holidays and a Happy New Year!
