Biodegradation of bioplastics - even fossil materials can be environmentally friendly!
There is often a misconception that only fully bio-based bioplastics are biodegradable. The reality is more complex: bioplastics that are partially or completely made from fossil raw materials can also be biodegradable and can be returned to the natural environment.
Barrier values in bioplastics
Our home-compostable coffee capsules are made from bioplastics, so they're an excellent alternative to aluminium and plastic. They're great because they retain the full flavour and can simply be disposed of in your home compost – no residue!

With the development of the innovative material GC green 71 MI T30, we are setting new standards in the production of sustainable packaging solutions. The material is unique in that it combines dishwasher resistance with complete biodegradability. It offers a forward-looking alternative to traditional fossil-based materials.
